In a startling revelation, Poland's Supreme Administrative Court in Warsaw was found to be clandestinely <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-mining-reshaping-landscape-amid-global-interest-surge/">hosting</a> crypto mining rigs. The rigs, hidden in the ventilation ducts, were discovered by a technician in August. Following the discovery, the prosecutor’s office and the Internal Security Agency launched an <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/large-scale-cryptocurrency-mining-farm-uncovered-in-dagestans-kizilyurtovsky-district/">investigation</a>. Prosecutor Szymon Banna confirmed that, as of now, no charges have been filed for <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/crypto-mining-with-flare-gas-a-green-solution-or-environmental-setback/">electricity</a> theft, according to <a href="https://cryptonews.net/news/mining/27845171/">cryptonews</a>. 
The identity of the individual or group behind this operation remains unknown. However, the maintenance firm responsible for the court building has been dismissed, along with two employees directly involved in the area where the rigs were found. Reports about the rigs including modems are unconfirmed, and they were reportedly not connected to the court’s internet. Judge Sylvester Marcinniak, of the Judicial Information Department, assured that the <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/irkutsk-region-busts-1-000-illegal-crypto-miners-in-a-year-fires-a-major-concern/">illegal mining</a> operation posed no threat to the security of data in the building. 
This incident is not the first of its kind in Poland. A similar situation occurred two years ago at Warsaw's <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/borneo-police-crack-down-on-illegal-crypto-mining-operation/">police</a> headquarters, where an IT professional was found using the facility's <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/crypto-mining-with-flare-gas-a-green-solution-or-environmental-setback/">electricity</a> for his own crypto mining operation.&nbsp;
