Peak Mining, under the umbrella of Northern Data Group, has commenced the construction of a cutting-edge 30MW Bitcoin mining center in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Scheduled for completion in Q1 2024, this facility will integrate direct-to-chip liquid-cooling technology, setting a new standard in mining infrastructure, according to <a href="https://www.prnewswire.co.uk/news-releases/peak-mining-starts-construction-of-next-gen-30mw-mining-facility-in-grand-forks-north-dakota-301988859.html">prnewswire</a>. 
This development follows Peak Mining's substantial $150 million investment in the latest liquid-cooled <a href="https://ultramining.com/manufacturers/microbt/">Whatsminer</a> M53S++ miners from <a href="https://ultramining.com/manufacturers/microbt/">MicroBT</a>, with production beginning in the <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/pennsylvania-a-new-hub-for-cryptomining-ignites-environmental-concerns/">United States</a>. The deployment of this <a href="https://ultramining.com/hardware/">hardware</a> is expected to significantly bolster the company's <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-miners-set-for-a-tough-ride-as-2024-halving-nears-jp-morgan/">hash rate</a> efficiency. 
Designed to fully replace outdated structures, the new facility will expand Peak Mining's capacity and optimize the utilization of available power. Collaborating with the local Grand Forks community, Peak Mining plans to repurpose excess heat generated by the facility for community use. The infrastructure is already primed to make this integration possible.

The use of high-density liquid-cooling technology marks a first for the company and is anticipated to enhance operational capacity and efficiency, leading to quieter and cleaner operations.
