U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Gina Raimondo, made this revelation in an interview with Bloomberg on December 11, emphasizing the government’s commitment to ensuring compliance with export regulations.</p>

<p>Secretary Raimondo explained that her agency meticulously evaluates the specifications of each new chip to prevent any potential breaches of export controls. Despite an initially extended deadline, this policy was unexpectedly implemented around October 24.</p>
