The developer’s statement promptly garnered noteworthy attention among crypto market enthusiasts across the globe as Leonidas claims this to be the largest Ordinals <a href="https://coingape.com/glossary/airdrop/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">airdrop</a> ever.

According to the developer’s statement on X, the airdrop looms between this Friday and Wednesday. This process, marking a paradigm shift, can’t happen all at once, while it brings utter merriment to the broader crypto market and its participants, as per Leonidas’ statement. 
In a post shared earlier on X, the developer revealed that the Runestone airdrop progress had reached 90%. Aligning with this, today’s remarks fueled curiosity. Meanwhile, it was also previously revealed that 112,383 addresses are poised to receive their Runestone in the largest Ordinals airdrop ever.

RuneAlpha, Rune’s block explorer, has joined Runestone 0.15 BTC donators to wrap up network fees for inscribing/distribution. All RuneAlpha and Cook holders are further jacking up Runestone, aiming to help it grow better on the Bitcoin network. While in response to this, an additional 7000 addresses will receive Runestone.

At present, Ordinals tallies up for significant Bitcoin network activity. It substantially catapulted block size and resulted in increased transaction fees. This provided miners with enough rewards, while mining difficulty surpassed the 81 trillion mark. 
Over the past 12 months, network hashrate has roughly doubled, surging from 303 EH/s to an average of 577 EH/s, per BTC.com’s insights. With the Runestone Airdrop coming into play, the market embraces itself for future imminent impacts.
