The global digital asset market records another day of massive gains in a run up to hit new highs. Bitcoin (BTC) in its recent price action successfully breached the long anticipated $65,000 mark spreading more optimism and <a href="https://news.todayq.com/bitcoin-hits-60000-crypto-fear-and-greed-blinks-extreme-greed/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">greed in the market</a>. Bitcoin gains hold against biggest fiats 
The biggest crypto has locked its aim to breach all time high (ATH) of around $69,000 and that too before the much hyped halving event. Bitcoin surged to a two-year high, hitting $65,537 on Monday. BTC price jumped by around 5% in the last 24 hours to regain this milestone. However, the original crypto has seen a 50% gain year-to-date with positive momentum in recent weeks.
BTC’s 24 hour trading volume is up by 101% to stand at $44 billion. It is holding a market cap of $1.27 trillion. Inflows into US listed spot BTC <a href="https://news.todayq.com/options-on-spot-bitcoin-etf-coming-next-grayscale-makes-move/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Exchange-Traded Fund</a> (ETF) funds after the approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have contributed to renewed enthusiasm.
Experts suggest that BTC is achieving a new ATH against major fiat currencies. This includes the Euro ($EUR), British Pound ($GBP), Australian Dollar ($AUD), Indian Rupee ($INR), Chinese Yuan ($CNY), Korean Won ($KRW), and more. However, this emerging trend suggests that Bitcoin is gaining a strong position against the US dollar.
Bitcoin led surge has taken the cumulative crypto market cap to stand around $2.43 trillion by adding a gain of 4% in the last 24 hours. Total crypto market volume in the last 24 hours has increased by 29.18%, reaching $117.81 billion.
As per the data shared by Coinglass, more than 92k traders got liquidated in the last 24 hours. While the total liquidation recorded by the tracker stands at $260 million. It is important to note that more than $145 million of short bets got liquidated. This shows that more traders were hoping for the market to correct a bit. crypto shares explode 
Shares of cryptocurrency and blockchain-related companies are rising in premarket trading following Bitcoin’s surge. Coinbase Global rose by 7.0%, while Bitfarms Ltd, a blockchain farm operator, is up by 8.9%.
Crypto miners, including Riot Platforms Inc, Marathon Digital, Hut 8, and Bit Digital, show gains ranging from 5.7% to 7.9%. Software firm and Bitcoin buyer MicroStrategy gains 8.3%. BTC mining machine maker Canaan Inc. sees a 7.4% increase.
Bitcoin has risen nearly 53% year-to-date, outperforming the MVIS CryptoCompare Digital Assets 100 Index, which increased by 3.1% over the same period.
