<p>In a significant development, The Vinh Nguyen, JL1TF lead developer <a href="https://x.com/TheVinhNguyen4/status/1764347867601555618?s=20" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">announced</a> the disbandment of JL1TF, a group of engineers responsible for maintaining the Terra Classic blockchain’s source code.</p>
<p>Nguyen cited various reasons for most JL1TF members’ departure, rendering the group unable to fulfill its mission. Consequently, all repositories on the Terra Classic GitHub organization have become the property of the Terra Classic community.</p>
<p>Moving forward, Nguyen proposed that Genuine Labs should be selected to manage the Terra Classic codebase. He cited their recent proven work, enthusiasm, and the ongoing upgrade proposal to Cosmos SDK v0.50.x as factors supporting this recommendation.</p>
<p>“With recent upgrade proposal to Cosmos SDK v0.50.x, the team deserves a fair opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities by completing, deploying, and maintaining it,” Nguyen stated.</p>
