The leading smartphone maker, <a href="https://ng.infinixmobility.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Infinix</a>, has finally launched the much-awaited Infinix Note 40 Series in Nigeria. The launch, carried out in partnership with streaming giants, Showmax, was held at the prestigious Lagos Marriot Hotel. It had in attendance Infinix executives, Showmax representatives and brand ambassadors of both companies including Bisola Aiyeola, Kalu Ikeagwu,&nbsp;Scarlet Gomez,&nbsp;Ray Adeke and several others. 
In her welcome note, the Integrated Marketing Communications and PR Manager at Infinix, Oluwayemisi Ode lauded the new devices which include the Note 40, Note 40 Pro, Note 40 Pro 5G, and Note 40 Pro+ 5G,&nbsp;describing the technologies behind them as ‘groundbreaking. 
She pointed out that the phones come with All-round fast charge 2.0 and are developed with the all-new Cheetah chip which brings with it lots of innovation. 
It boasts high density and 1600 charging cycles which means the battery still retains 80 per cent of its full strength after two years of charging. Still, on charging, she noted that no other smartphone brand boasts wireless charging pads and magnetic charging. It also boasts wireless reverse charging, thus the phone could act as a power bank to power other devices. Thus the phone series comes with mag case, mag pad and mag charging

<h4 id="infinix-note-40-design" class="wp-block-heading">Infinix Note 40 design</h4> 
On his part, the Lagos Regional Trainer for Infinix, Richard Ahachi gave deeper and more specific characteristics in detail. Starting with what he described as hyperspeed design, Richard noted that the series comes with an “active halo” which produces a soft feel light which can be seen when the phone receives alerts for incoming calls, new messages and other alerts. This gives the devices a unique beauty and makes them stand out. 
Still on the design, Richard noted that the Note 40 series has 3D Cord display and a 65-degree curve to give the best feel. The Note 40 also comes with a powerful 120 hertz Amoled, Ultra-smooth eyecare display. It also boasts a wireless mega charge as well as a bezel-less design display. 
Finally, for protection, the devices come with Corning Gorilla Glass GG5. This, the Lagos Trainer said, would give solid protection against falls, scratches and general wear and tear. 
<h4 id="infinix-note-40-performance-hyperspeed-core" class="wp-block-heading">Infinix Note 40 performance (Hyperspeed core) </h4> 
Nowhere else is the Infinix Note 40 performance more pronounced than in its efficiency for gaming. Gaming requires huge processor power and high-performing processors. Richard noted that the styling of the series as “Always Prepared” proceeds from its processor power. He explained that the series possesses 6NN gaming dominance and an X-Boost gaming engine. 
Thus while other phones possess reactive gaming strategy which means they are reactive to the large game specifications and as such start overheating during play, The Note 40’s X-Boost engine means it comes with a proactive strategy and as such guarantees that the phone does not overheat during gaming. It also has silky-smooth frame rate of 88.8 per second and a maximum of 90.

For audio, the device boasts a deep immersive audio by JBL. It has 360-degree symmetric sound and 58 per cent bass performance. 
For its camera, the Note 40 boasts a 108 mp Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) -super zoom camera which guarantees clear shake-less photoshoots. Its super zoom feature means you can zoom subjects that are far away and still get excellently bold and clear images. The OIS feature means the device can capture excellent images and preserve moments. 
The camera boasts more than 15 modes which include selfie, portrait, super night and many others. 
System-wise, the device boasts notable AI features which include an infrared (IR) remote control feature which works with multifactional near-field communication (NFC). The remote control helps you control all your remote-controlled appliances from just one device. While it is not water-resistant, the devices come with IP53 splashproof features. This means it is resistant to dust and droplets of water or other liquids which usually damage devices. 
For its software, the new Infinix devices guarantee 2 years of Android updates. This means they would continue to support Android software updates for up to 2 years. It also has 36 months of security patches which help with online security and protect against malware. The security patches feature also automatically revokes app permissions after extended periods of disuse. 
The Infinix Note 40 boasts 256 gigabytes of memory and 8 gigabytes extended RAM. It also boasts a 5,000 MAH battery. 
<h4 id="showmax-promotions" class="wp-block-heading">Showmax Promotions</h4> 
Head of Marketing at Showmax Nigeria, Arinola Shobande announced that while users who buy any Infinix smartphone can get 3 months of Showmax subscription at a discounted price of N8,500 instead of N12,000, anyone who buys an Infinix Note 40 would get all three months subscription free. This offer, called the First Sales Offer, lasts from March 19 to 31.

Speaking on why Showmax chose to partner with Infinix on this launch, Shobande said it all comes down to the strategy of continuous innovation which Infinix employs. He noted that Infinix offers quality and affordability all in one and this aligns with Showmax’s own strategies and as such they could relate.
