<p class="p2">The entirety of the crypto market is experiencing a bloodbath right now after the <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-huge-discount-pre-halving-dip-buy/">Bitcoin price dumped below $70,000</a> and Dogecoin and Shiba Inu are not left out. Both <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/dogecoin-doge-sights-on-0-3/">meme coins</a> have seen their values tumble by at least 5% in the last day alone, leaving investors to wonder what could be behind this price decline.</p> 
<h2 class="p2" id="dogecoin-and-shiba-inu-fall-5">Dogecoin And Shiba Inu Fall 5%</h2>

<p class="p2">The Dogecoin price had been trending above $0.2 before the crash and ended up falling briefly below $019. In the same vein, the <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/shiba-inu-major-exchange-listing/">Shiba Inu price</a> reached above $0.000029, but the price crash sent it tumbling below $0.000027 before reclaiming $0.000027 once again, with bulls aiming to establish support at this level.</p> 
<p class="p2">Sentiment in both camps of these <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/dogecoin-doge-sights-on-0-3/">meme coins</a> has also suffered tremendously as fear of another extended bearish streak plagues the community. The decline is more noticeable in the Shiba Inu metrics as its daily trading volume has seen a significant 17% slump in the last day. In comparison, Dogecoin has fared better, still seeing meager gains of 0.4% in its daily trading volume, according to data from Coinmarketcap.</p>

<p class="p2">As mentioned above, the decline in the Dogecoin and <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/shiba-inu-692-billion-shib/">Shiba Inu price</a>, as well as the broader cryptocurrency market decline, is being driven by the fall in the <a href="https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-bulls-beware-deutsche-bank-survey-sparks/">Bitcoin price</a>. In the past, the Bitcoin price has seen a 20-30% decline in the price leading up to the halving event, and investors expect a repeat of this trend. However, with Bitcoin deviating from this trend, such as hitting a new all-time high before a halving event for the first time in history, the accuracy of this prediction is being called into question.</p>
