Bluzelle (BLZ) token managed to surge more than 20% in the past 24 hours in a volatile crypto market that has been fluctuating a lot recently, with <a href="https://crypto.ro/en/news/bitcoins-funding-rate-declines-1-day-ahead-of-the-halving/">Bitcoin halving</a> around the corner and intense geo-political events taking place. 
Bluzelle is a decentralized storage network for the creator economy. 
At the moment of writing this article, BLZ is trading above $0.4, up by almost 23% in the past 24 hours on <a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bluzelle/#Chart" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">CoinMarketCap</a>. BLZ’s market cap is about $180 million.

A couple of days ago, on April 16, Bluzelle posted on its X account that users can connect with the world via decentralized storage with DePIN. 
The team notes that by hosting nodes, they can become part of a global network while earning rewards in BLZ.

DePIN has been gaining popularity lately and there’s been a surge in interest involving such projects. 
DePIN involves taking real-world infrastructure like a wireless network and running it with a blockchain-powered system. According to data from <a href="https://www.coingecko.com/en/categories/depin" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">CoinGecko</a>, the DePIN market cap today is $22.6 billion. 
A portfolio manager of VanEck’s digital assets alpha fund said in a recent interview that they believe DePIN projects represent a category that has the potential to host “a killer app with a billion users.” 
He continued and said that these users would be using public blockchains without necessarily realizing that they are interacting with a crypto product.
