Two cat-themed Solana-based memecoin airdrops briefly covered the cost of “Chapter 2,” the upcoming Solana mobile phone expected to roll out in 2025. The memecoins, MANEKI and MEW, are reportedly connected to the soon-to-launch mobile device and reached a combined value of $459 at some point last Thursday.

Altogether, 5,199 Maneki (MANEKI) tokens launched in an airdrop on April 24, joining the 37,600 Cat in a Dogs World (MEW) tokens that launched on April 1. By reaching a combined value of $459, the airdrops covered the $450 pre-order cost of Chapter 2 per <a href="https://twitter.com/SolanaFloor/status/1783430941396078926" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Solana Floor</a>.
MANEKI traded for $0.02326 at the time of writing, reflecting a 9.8% rally in the past 24 hours, according to data from <a href="https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/maneki" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">CoinGecko</a>, the crypto foremost crypto aggregation platform.
