Based on recent statistics, Fidelity’s spot bitcoin ETF had net outflows of $22.61 million on Thursday, marking the first day since the fund’s debut in January that more money was moving out of the ETF.
Daily withdrawals of $217.58 million were reported by many additional U.S. bitcoin funds. Data indicated that $139.37 million left <a href="https://thenewscrypto.com/grayscale-bitcoin-trust-gbtc-faces-continued-outflow-spree/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Grayscale’s</a> converted ETF, while $31.34 million left Ark Invest and 21Shares’ fund. A total of $20.16 million outflow was witnessed by Valkyrie’s fund, while $6 million was lost by Bitwise.

The only fund that had daily net inflows, with $1.87 million being drawn in, was Franklin Templeton’s EZBC. As it did on Wednesday, the 71-day positive flow run for <a href="https://thenewscrypto.com/blackrock-denies-any-commercial-relationship-with-hedera-hashgraph/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">BlackRock’s</a> IBIT fund came to an end on Thursday, as reported by crypto analyst HODL15Capital. But according to James Seyffart, an ETF analyst at Bloomberg, zero flows are the norm.
According to a research released on Friday by Hong Song-uk, an analyst at NH Investment and Securities, fund inflows were almost non-existent after the bitcoin halving. No subsequent events are scheduled to bring attention to <a href="http://bitcoin.org" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bitcoin</a> anytime soon, Hong said.
Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) investors have been quite negative for a very long time. The unexpected withdrawals have continued since January, when the US government authorized the launch of spot Bitcoin ETFs.
GBTC hasn’t been able to stop the funds from leaving. The trust’s high fees may be the root cause of its underwhelming performance when compared to its rivals.
