<p>Developers who use the portal can access a range of products and receive testnet tokens to deploy and test their decentralized applications (DApps) on Ethereum testnets Sepolia and Holesky. Additionally, the portal includes a tutorial program on developing an NFT, implementing Web3 loyalty programs, and how to secure digital assets with multi-party computation (MPC).</p>

<p>MartyParty, a pseudonymous crypto trader, shared his disappointment with his followers, claiming that Google is lagging behind in the industry. He even tweeted about the launch of the Web3 portal and said that he wasn’t impressed with it.</p>
<p>On the other hand, some welcomed the launch of the Web3 portal. Ivaibi Festo, the founder of Nitroplus Labs, referred to it as a “comprehensive resource” in a post on X, implying their positive perception of the platform.</p>
<p>Developers can leverage the Web3 portal to gain access to a range of products and services, including testnet tokens for deploying and testing their decentralized applications (DApps) on Ethereum testnets like Sepolia and Holesky. In addition, the platform offers a comprehensive learning program featuring tutorials on developing NFTs, implementing Web3 loyalty programs, and securing digital assets with multi-party computation (MPC).</p>

<p>The launch of the Web3 portal was planned out last year, during which <a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2024/04/24/philippines-sec-to-remove-binance-from-google-apple-stores/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Google </a>Cloud integrated its BigQuery data warehouse with MultiversX. This integration allowed Web3 projects and users to utilize advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence tools within the Google Cloud ecosystem. In September of 2023, BigQuery, offered by Google, enhanced its data warehouse by incorporating 11 blockchain networks.</p>
<h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="strong-google-s-lawsuit-strong"><strong>Google’s Lawsuit</strong></h3>
<p>Earlier this month, Google filed a lawsuit against two individuals from China, Yunfeng Sun and Hongnam Cheung, for utilizing the Google Play store to deceive people into fake crypto investments. The lawsuit did not disclose the specific names of the implicated applications, but Google revealed that it had deactivated 87 fraudulent apps associated with Sun and Cheung over the past four years. These apps collectively garnered nearly 100,000 downloads worldwide.</p>
<p>Halimah DeLaine Prado, general counsel at Google, commented that this was a unique opportunity for them to use their resources to combat bad actors who were running an extensive crypto scheme to defraud some of their users.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Google is requesting a permanent injunction against the defendants. The company is also claiming damages that surpass $75,000. These damages include expenses associated with investigating the breach and ensuring platform safety and integrity.</p>
