<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">The Japan-based anime series Captain Tsubasa announced the launch of an <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/gamestop-to-gradually-shut-down-nft-marketplace-amid-regulatory-uncertainties/" data-wpel-link="internal">NFT</a> football game on the Oasys blockchain, a platform focused on Web3 games. On May 20, Oasys revealed that a version of the popular 80s manga and anime Captain Tsubasa, written and illustrated by Japanese author Yōichi Takahashi, would be released as an NFT football game in the Web3 game blockchain space.</p> 
<h2 class="p1" style="text-align: justify" id="nft-initiative-from-the-tsubasa-team">NFT Initiative from the Tsubasa Team</h2> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">The Web3 game, created by Web3 development platforms Mint Town and Blocksmith, first emerged in 2022 and was officially released on January 12, 2023. The project also launched its governance token on June 4, 2023. The game allows players to collect NFTs of characters from the original animation series. Players can develop characters, form teams, and play in different modes within the game.</p> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">The Rival mode lets players revisit the original story, while the player-vs-player (PvP) mode allows players to compete against other online players. Additionally, the game features an Arena mode where players can participate in 11 vs. 11 football matches.</p>

<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">According to Mint Town CEO Hiroshi Kunimitsu, the integration on the Oasys blockchain network offers fans a new way to experience the animated story. Kunimitsu added that the release demonstrates the capabilities of blockchain technology in enhancing interactive entertainment and gaming.</p> 
<h2 class="p1" style="text-align: justify" id="what-are-the-notable-details">What Are the Notable Details?</h2> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">The manga series was first published in 1981 in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and was adapted into an anime series in 1983. This was followed by numerous film and television adaptations, with the latest released in 2018. By 2023, the series had sold 90 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga series ever.</p> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">To commemorate the game’s launch on Oasys, Genesis NFTs will include additional features such as boosting players’ energy points. Meanwhile, as the crypto sector begins to recover, GameFi studios are becoming active once again. On May 15, Web3 game studio Immutable released the Guild of Guardians game on Google Play and <a href="https://newslinker.co/category/mobile/apple/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-wpel-link="exclude">Apple</a> App Store.</p> 
<p class="p1" style="text-align: justify">On May 13, the Web3 game Pixels surpassed 1 million daily active players and generated $4.4 million in token revenue. The game reached a valuation of $2.7 billion after transitioning to the Ronin blockchain on February 22.</p>
