Europe’s leading digital services provider and a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, T-Systems, has partnered with Aurora Labs, an innovative <a href="https://newslinker.co/category/ai/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-wpel-link="exclude">AI-focused</a> automotive software company, to offer advanced software update solutions to the automotive industry. This collaboration aims to optimize Time-to-Market and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs) and enhance the overall driving experience through continuous software updates and improvements. 
<h2 style="text-align: justify" id="what-will-be-done-in-the-collaboration">What Will Be Done in the Collaboration?</h2> 
As part of this collaboration, T-Systems will integrate Aurora Labs’ various software update capabilities with its own end-to-end Over-the-Air (OTA) platform. This combination will leverage T-Systems’ extensive experience in connected vehicle services and cloud infrastructure and Aurora Labs’ expert OTA technology. This partnership will offer a flexible, secure, and cost-effective solution for automotive manufacturers and fleets, allowing them to update any device in the vehicle at any time, even while the vehicle is in use.

Aurora Labs’ patented Line-Of-Code Intelligence (LOCI) technology stands out with its ability to create update files up to 97% smaller by significantly reducing data usage. This technology also features an advanced rollback mechanism that ensures vehicle uptime and prevents software failures in compliance with UNECE R156 regulations. 
T-Systems complements this with its robust OTA platform, which has already managed over 30 million vehicles. Their platforms are scalable and modular, allowing seamless integration with any original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM) existing infrastructure. Additionally, they boast an update success rate of up to 99.99%. 
<h2 style="text-align: justify" id="highly-beneficial-for-large-fleets">Highly Beneficial for Large Fleets</h2> 
The integration of Aurora Labs’ LOCI technology with T-Systems’ OTA platform addresses critical challenges in the automotive industry, such as the complexity of digital ecosystems, high data volumes, long update times, and cybersecurity concerns. This partnership aims to enable seamless software management and updates, ensuring optimal vehicle performance, enhanced user experience, and reduced cybersecurity vulnerabilities. 
Christian Hort, Senior Vice President of Automotive at T-Systems, highlights the efficiency of differential software updates, which deliver only the affected parts of the code, leading to smaller packages and less data traffic. This innovation, combined with T-Systems’ reliable OTA platform, promises to meet the high demands of managing large OEM fleets. 
Aurora Labs, being the development company behind the EVM Blockchain Aurora working on the NEAR Protocol, suggests that this development could have significant implications for NEAR as well. The NEAR <a>price</a> was trading at $7.08 at the time of writing.
