While the final approval is awaited for the SEC to start trading after the approval of spot Ethereum ETFs, good news came to Ethereum (ETH) investors from the leading crypto derivatives exchange BitMEX.
Accordingly, BitMEX announced that it increased the Ethereum perpetual swap leverage to 200x before ETFs.
BitMEX CEO Stephan Lutz said:

 “In my opinion, the change in sentiment on Wall Street could greatly increase volatility in the Ethereum market.
 So 200x leverage for ETHUSD perpetual swap couldn't have come at a better time.
 “Ether has seen remarkable growth over the past year, with the price increasing by 100% along with increasing institutional adoption.”
</blockquote>
As you may remember, BitMEX increased the leverage of the Bitcoin permanent exchange XBTUSD from 100 times to 250 times before the Bitcoin Halving in April.
