Many users have experienced thefts as attackers exploited the SMS risk notifications to create new API keys with permissions to withdraw and trade. The exchange is currently conducting a thorough investigation, has reached out to the affected users, and has promised full accountability if found at fault. Similarly, Binance has recently experienced a comparable incident. Additionally, OKX reassured its users of their commitment to resolving the issue and requested patience during the investigation process. They also recommended enabling 2FA to prevent further breaches.</p>
