San Francisco-based Movement Labs has announced the “Battle of Olympus,” a hackathon designed to promote the growth and adoption of Movement. The hackathon, supported by 280 Capital and other partners, will run from July 17 to September 17, 2024. 
The Battle of Olympus is the first chapter of Movement Labs’ Testnet which offers limited access to developers. This is a part of the Road to Parthenon program, which is a community drive that will help shape the future of Movement Labs’ mainnet. The hackathon attracts skilled developers and other enthusiasts to build incredible applications on Movement Labs and the test net. 
Hackathon attendees are expected to be part of five distinctive guilds, such as the ‘Masons’ guild through which the developers can create and launch new dApps in different sectors like DeFi, gaming &amp; utility, social tools, infrastructure, or NFTs. Teams of up to four members can register on the official hackathon website, participating either virtually or in person in San Francisco. Movement Labs will provide support, and resources to assist participants. 
The Battle of Olympus feature allows participants to earn rewards. Standout projects will receive attractive prizes, with winners selected by a panel of judges based on concept, execution, use of Movement-native features, innovation, technical excellence, user experience, and potential impact.&nbsp; 
The hackathon is not limited to developers. Non-engineer enthusiasts can also participate through four other guilds including Pathfinders, Creators, Explorers, and Scholars. The guilds enable participants to be involved in analyzing data about the Movement ecosystem. 
Cooper Scanlon, co-founder of Movement Labs, also pointed out that the straightforward motivations of the battle should be obvious, stating, “The Battle of Olympus provides opportunities for a talented community to engage in based on skill and passion, be it development or other fields, to innovate and contribute to the decentralized future.”
