Europe’s largest telecommunications provider, Deutsche Telekom, is preparing to mine Bitcoin (BTC) through its subsidiary T-Systems MMS. The company has been running nodes for Bitcoin, Bitcoin Lightning, <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/ethereum-price-shows-volatile-days-ahead-will-the-recent-surge-sustain-in-the-near-future/" data-wpel-link="internal">Ethereum</a>, and other networks for some time. 
<h2 style="text-align: justify" id="strong-we-will-mine-bitcoin-strong">“We Will Mine Bitcoin”</h2> 
Deutsche Telekom’s Head of Web3 Infrastructure, Dirk Röder, who leads Web3 infrastructure and solutions at T-Systems MMS, announced during the BTC Prague Conference that the company will soon start Bitcoin mining.

“We have been running a Bitcoin node since 2023, and we are also running Bitcoin Lightning nodes,” Röder said, wearing a t-shirt with a pink Bitcoin graphic resembling Deutsche Telekom’s logo, “And I am proud to say that we will soon join crypto production.” 
When the famous anonymous Bitcoin influencer Joe Nakamoto asked Röder, “So, T-Mobile will mine Bitcoin?” Röder confirmed, “Yes, we will.” 
<h2 style="text-align: justify" id="strong-known-for-being-extremely-active-in-the-crypto-world-strong">Known for Being Extremely Active in the Crypto World</h2> 
Deutsche Telekom’s crypto activities are not limited to Bitcoin. After running nodes and <a href="https://finance.coin-turk.com/" data-wpel-link="exclude">investment</a> partnerships with Blockchain networks like Polkadot (DOT), Flow (FLOW), and Celo (CELO), the company also contributed to Ethereum by supporting it through a partnership with StakeWise. 
The company is known for running nodes on the Polkadot and Celo networks and directly investing in the main network assets of these protocols. 
Other partnerships and collaborations between Deutsche Telekom and Blockchain companies include running a validation node for Polygon and supporting the Chainlink Blockchain networks with Q.
