<p>The cryptocurrency market has been on a rollercoaster ride lately, with altcoins taking a significant hit. According to data, over $420 million in crypto liquidations have occurred in the past 24 hours, suggesting that the altcoin market is struggling quite a bit.</p>
<p>Many analysts are considering whether this could be a prime "buy the dip" opportunity for some tokens that have seen massive declines from their recent highs. Projects like Solana, Avalanche, and Near Protocol have all dropped substantially, with Solana touching a 45-day low. The question on investors' minds is whether these levels present an attractive entry point or if further downside is in store.</p>
<p>One key indicator being watched is the supply of Ethereum on exchanges, which has hit an 8-year low according to on-chain data. This could signal that investors are taking a "hodl" mentality with ETH in anticipation of future price appreciation, especially with the potential launch of a spot ETH ETF drawing closer. However, ETH's price has still been caught in the downdraft.</p>

<p>Still, many remain bullish long-term, noting past cycles where altcoins delivered explosive upside after periods of massive drawdowns. They look to macroeconomic factors like easing financial conditions as potential tailwinds later this year. For now though, heightened volatility seems likely to persist.</p>
<p>As always, investors are advised to approach the market cautiously and according to their individual risk tolerance. Dollar-cost averaging into positions and taking some profits along the way remains a prudent strategy in these unpredictable conditions.</p>
