Over the next 45 minutes, an accomplice remotely drained more than $150,000 worth of cryptocurrency from their Coinbase account. 
The meticulous planning extended to the laundering of the stolen funds. The crew attempted to obscure their financial trail using privacy-focused cryptocurrencies like Monero and platforms lacking stringent anti-money laundering checks. However, their attempts at a fourth transaction were thwarted when <a href="https://www.coinbase.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Coinbase</a> blocked it.
