The Ethereum blockchain is sitting at the top spot by one-year <a href="https://crypto.news/dexs-must-shift-their-focus-toward-revenue-generation-opinion/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">revenue</a>, surpassing all major blockchains.
According to data provided by Lookonchain, Ethereum generated a one-year revenue of $2.72 billion, surpassing the Bitcoin network by a $1.42 billion margin. Data shows that Bitcoin accumulated $1.3 billion in revenue in the same timeframe.

Data from Defi Llama <a href="https://defillama.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">shows</a> that Ethereum is still leading the decentralized finance (<a href="https://crypto.news/understanding-defi-and-its-uses/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">defi</a>) chart with a total value locked (TVL) of $58.4 billion — accounting for 60.9% of the whole market. The blockchain recorded a 30-day fee income of $131 million, per the data aggregator.

Bitcoin’s TVL is currently sitting at $1 billion.&nbsp;
The network for the second-largest cryptocurrency, <a href="https://crypto.news/price/ethereum/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">ETH</a>, <a href="https://thedefireport.io/research/ethereum-networks-q1-earnings-results?utm_source=coinspaidmedia&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=ethereum-profits-could-exceed-1b-2024" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">witnessed</a> a 155% year-over-year increase in its fee revenue in Q1 this year as the crypto market recorded a bull run.&nbsp;
Tron came in third with a one-year revenue of $459 million. Solana and BSC also recorded nine-figure fee incomes of $241 million and $176 million, respectively.&nbsp;
Notably, Tron is the second-largest chain in the <a href="https://crypto.news/defi-investing/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">defi</a> scene with a TVL of $7.7 billion. BSC and Solana secure the third and fourth spots with TVLs of $4.8 billion and $4.5 billion, according to Defi Llama.
Avalanche, zkSync Era, Optimism and Polygon made it to the top 10 with $68 million, $59 million, $40 million and $23 million in one-year revenues, respectively.
