Telegram has announced the launch of the Telegram Gaming Accelerator in partnership with Helika Gaming following the success of Telegram blockchain-powered Mini Apps.
The new initiative aims to capitalize on the recent significant traction of Mini Apps and blockchain technology to improve the user gaming experience on the messaging platform.
The initiative also follows <a href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/hamster-kombat-creators-marketing-geniuses-or-modern-satirists">the 200-million player success</a> witnessed by games like Hamster Kombat that launched on Telegram in March.

Notcoin’s announcement on X <a href="https://x.com/thenotcoin/status/1808565780667109741" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">revealed</a> that the vast Telegram user base resulting from the Mini Apps had become the “new meta.”&nbsp;
By teaming up with Helika Gaming, Telegram plans to extend its accelerator program specifically for game developers.
The program aims to improve innovation and growth among developers interested in building gaming applications integrated within Telegram.

The collaboration is backed by a significant $50 million in funding from Helika Accelerate and seeks to support game studios, mobile app developers and indie creators.
The partnership aims to create an engaging and innovative gaming experience that combines Telegram’s platform with the capabilities of The Open Network blockchain.
The move marks a strategic move by Telegram to diversify the number of games available on its platform and to appeal to a broader audience through incentivized game development.
The first cohort for applications to the Telegram Gaming Accelerator program is set to open next week.
