Jupiter Exchange has announced the <a href="https://cryptonewsland.com/jupiter-exchange-distributes-60m-in-staking-rewards-to-jup-dao-participants/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">availability of Active Staking Rewards</a> (ASR) for its users. Participants can now claim their rewards, which will be added to their existing stakes.&nbsp;
However, those who are currently unstaking must cancel their stake or wait until the unstaking process is complete to claim their rewards. The reward tokens include JUP, ZEUS, UPT, SHARK, and WEN, with JUP being automatically staked to increase voting power.

Key Objectives of ASR
The ASR program was designed with specific goals in mind. It aims to reward the most active participants with <a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/jupiter-ag/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">JUP tokens</a>, thus allowing them to gain more voting power.&nbsp;
The second objective is to boost participation across the platform rather than just lock up the most JUP. Lastly, simplicity was prioritized to onboard a large user base, especially those new to governance participation.
Claiming ASR Rewards
The first batch of ASR rewards will be distributed in July, following the end of the March to June period. Upon claiming, JUP tokens will be added to users’ staked balances, provided they are not in the process of unstaking. If users are currently unstaking, they must complete or cancel the process to claim their rewards.
The ASR program is part of an ongoing experiment to keep DAO voters engaged and active in proposal voting. Over the first six months, 100 million JUP tokens will be distributed as launchpad fees.&nbsp;
The long-term vision includes running the ASR program indefinitely to align stakeholders and onboard new DeFi voters. This initiative aims to drive community decision-making for the growth of the Jupiverse.
New Memecoin dApp Launch: Ape
