Yes3 Network Podcast producer and host <a href="https://www.youtube.com/live/ycTlGrHQWOc?si=WQiH-j_64uwxcSJQ" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Brandi Veil spoke with Tune.fm CEO and Founder Andrew Antar</a>. They were in Miami for the Bitcoin Mining Disrupt Conference, on setting new standards for the music industry through web3 music platform and space music advocacy.&nbsp;
Andrew has been passionate about music and the arts his entire life, starting violin lessons at 4 years old. As he grew older, Antar felt there was more to his passion than just music.
Antar often sensed something fundamentally wrong with the music industry. On <a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">The Coin Republic</a> via the Yes3 Network and Podcast, Antar shares his story. The story is about empowering artists and how his partnership with Space Blue is setting new industry standards.

“It’s a predatory industry,” said Antar, referring to the traditional music industry. He noted that the industry was exploiting artists and that they were not getting their fair share.

This platform is intended to serve as a brand new economic model leveraging the power of web3 and tokenization.

Antar said, “We are basically a web3 music streaming platform that pays artists 100 times more than Spotify.” Spotify is one of the world’s biggest music platforms. Spotify’s revenue model is based on subscriptions and advertisements.
On Tune.fm, artists get paid every time their music is played, literally. Tune.fm’s JAM token is publicly traded on 20 exchanges worldwide and is becoming the currency of music according to Antar.&nbsp;

Space Blue launched a space capsule containing never-heard-before tracks of music superstars via a SpaceX rocket for which Tune.fm has exclusive streaming rights.
With Tune.fm featured in <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vPVlwjmxjQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Rolling Stone</a> and on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vPVlwjmxjQ" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">NASDAQ TV,</a> Antar said that it was good to see that “it’s nice that we are getting a lot more eyeballs.”
Antar said that the interface of the platform is such that artists can simply upload their music and get going within minutes. The platform has been built to cater to non-crypto users and natives alike. It also offers subscribers 1000 free JAM tokens just for signing up to stream music. Fans can also get paid for streaming sponsored music as well.&nbsp;

“Spotify is not really a marketplace, it’s a one-sided consumer facing platform. They have deals with the big three labels and the rights holders. They don’t really deal directly with artists” Antar said, explaining the difference between Spotify and Tune.fm.
