<p>Greenidge Generation is indeed a company that is heavily engaged in green energy. But the company also confronts some problems of its own. <a href="https://earthjustice.org/press/2023/breaking-in-new-decision-judge-finds-greenidge-generations-air-permit-inconsistent-with-nys-climate-law" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Greenidge Power station</a> has been the focus of concern since the company has embarked on its mining activities. A number of citizens have opposed this, claiming that the company should not be allowed to pull in the air with its permits. The verdict in September 2023 has put Greenidge against its opposition on notice. The lawsuit followed the fine which the company received on the complaint of the local community.</p> 
<p>Greenidge Health, the parent company of Greenidge, applied for bankruptcy protection and signed a debt rescheduling agreement with New York Digital Investment Group covering almost $74 million in their debts.</p> 
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="current-operations-and-expansion">Current Operations and Expansion</h2> 
<p>At present, all of its capacities are at 122 MW, with actual utilization in the range of eight thousand miners under which Greenidge Generation is placed.
