David Fisher, the manager of a Bitcoin mining facility owned by <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/marathon-digital-to-boost-energy-efficiency-with-s19-xp-miners/">Marathon</a> Digital, has been acquitted of all charges related to noise violations in North Texas. Fisher was facing 12 charges after more than 40 residents from neighboring areas filed complaints about the noise levels, which were reportedly measured at over 85 decibels around the facility. Such noise levels are considered hazardous and potentially pose public health risks, according to John Shirley, a court officer for Hood County, according to <a href="https://news.bitcoin.com/ru/menedzhery-bitkoin-shahty-marathon-digital-opravdan-po-obvineniyam-v-narushenii-norm-shuma-v-texase/">Bitcoin.com</a>. 
Fisher's defense attorneys, Bob Gill and Miles Brissette, argued that the noise measurements were incorrectly conducted and exaggerated. They also highlighted the difficulty in directly linking Fisher to the noise issues, as he might not have had the authority to reduce the noise from his position. They contended that the charges should have been directed at Marathon Digital itself, not Fisher. 
Hood County Commissioner Nanette Samuelson expressed disappointment with the verdict, stating that it was heartbreaking for the citizens who had to endure the loud noise from the facility. She described the situation as "torture" for the residents living near Marathon Digital Holdings' data center. 
Despite the local government's concerns, Marathon Digital's Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, Jason Brauder, celebrated the jury's unanimous decision. He reaffirmed the company's commitment to operating responsibly and ethically, emphasizing their dedication to being good neighbors and contributing positively to the community. 
The outcome of this case underscores the ongoing tension between Bitcoin mining operations and local communities affected by their presence. As Marathon Digital continues its operations, the company will need to navigate these challenges while maintaining good relations with its neighbors.&nbsp;
