Quai Network, the next-generation blockchain project, is set to launch its fourth testnet, 'Golden Age', marking a significant milestone in its development. 
In a recent exclusive interview, Alan Orwick, co-founder of Quai, expressed his enthusiasm for the immense potential of the South Korea’s Web3 market. He emphasized three primary drivers for their strategic focus on South Korea: 
“High adoption rates, enterprise involvement, and cultural alignment—positions South Korea at the forefront of user—and enterprise-oriented Web3 market development in Asia and globally.” 
South Korea has a reputation as a center of innovation and is globally competitive, especially in the IT sector. Korean users are showing a high level of interest in digital assets, NFTs, and beyond, often leading global trends in digital asset trading and usage. 
"The involvement of major conglomerates like SK Group in embracing and commercializing Web3 technologies has not gone unnoticed by Quai," Alan noted. Another factor that makes the Korean market particularly attractive for Web3 companies is its dominant position in the global online gaming industry. South Korea is home to several world-renowned gaming companies, such as Nexon, Com2uS, and gamers are highly receptive to new technologies and platforms. 
Quai Network plans to differentiate itself in the Korean Web3 market through several key design advantages. 
Quai Network is the first fully scalable and programmable Proof-of-Work Layer-1 blockchain. The network boasts faster transaction processing speeds and lower fees compared to traditional blockchains and continues its ongoing research and resource investments in improved scalability. 
In addition to the utility token QUAI, it is also building a fully decentralized energy-linked asset (QI) to fulfil the cryptocurrency’s mission of being a ‘digital peer-to-peer(P2P)’ currency. 
Quai further contributes to the development of the Korean Web3 ecosystem by providing a range of tools and services to facilitate the development of decentralized applications (DApps). With a potential for partnerships with leading enterprises, research institutes, and startups, South Korea presents a prime location to be actively engaging in marketing and promotional activities to raise awareness of Quai and Web3 technology among users. 
Alan Orwick, co-founder of Quai, graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Computer Science and worked as a full-stack software engineer in Apple's AMR operations team. He is currently the founder and CEO of Dominant Strategies, where he is working on a number of blockchain projects, including Quai.
