<p>This is because Cardano (ADA) has just achieved a significant achievement with the launch of Node 9.1. This update is a step before the Chang hard fork, which is expected to happen soon. The new node includes governance and technical improvements.</p> 
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-cardano-releases-node-9-1-for-chang-upgrade"><strong>Cardano Releases Node 9.1. for Chang Upgrade</strong></h2> 
<p>The <a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2024/07/17/cardano-price-stagnates-will-ada-approach-0-50/">Cardano</a> Node 9.1.0 is out, marking the mainnet candidate for Chang hardfork Upgrade #1. This release is accompanied by the governance features required by the CIP-1694 Bootstrapping Phase. Also, this particular node has a configuration file update from the prior version, Node 9.0.</p> 
<p>Node 9.1. is the subsequent version of Node 9.0., released in July of this year. The new version must be started with a Conway genesis file, which is necessary for crossing the Chang hard fork barrier.</p> 
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-new-cardano-node-enhances-cli-and-api"><strong>New Cardano Node Enhances CLI and API</strong></h2> 
<p>The following is the list of changes made in Cardano Node 9.1, which have improved over previous versions. The update introduces a new command, “query treasury,” which enriches the CLI and API features. These changes conform to CIP69 and CIP119 standards.</p> 
<p>All Stake Pool Operators (SPOs), other essential node participants, exchanges, and wallets must switch to this version. Once the developers are satisfied with the improvement, they will make the updated proposal to initiate the Chang hard fork. This coordination is vital because it helps with the easy transfer of activities.</p>

<p>As per Cardano updates on X, Chang Hard Fork’s version will increase the staggered functionalities, making onboarding or adding more roles easier. </p>

<p>The features deployed in Chang Upgrade #2 include these and will mark the end of the technical bootstrapping process. This phase reveals the last on-chain governance aspects, including the DRep contribution.</p> 
<p>It allows the use of governance features to be phased in, which is less overwhelming. Cardano plans to make it easier for new users with new governance roles to avoid possible risks during the change.</p> 
<p>Similarly, Cardano’s approach to the Chang hard fork focuses on stability and security strategy. The network’s readiness is clear through detailed planning and the gradual implementation strategy. <p>Successful upgrades to Node 9.1 require the engagement of SPOs and exchanges. They are essential for the Chang hard fork as they need to be completed before the scheduled time. Cardano’s community is crucial in maintaining network stability during this period.</p> 
<p>This is because the stakeholders must work in unison to ensure the hard fork is activated smoothly. Cardano’s developers have also stressed the significance of these enhancements. Thus, the network’s readiness is based on the contribution of all its participants.</p>

<p>At the moment, ADA price traded at $0.4118 gaining 4.12% on the daily price window. Surprisingly, ADA was one of the top gainers in the top 10 coins by market cap, second only to Solana with more gains on the daily window. </p> 
<p>While some short-term gains are in progress, for ADA to reach back to its previous high a retail push could be needed. </p>
