Launched on July 30, 2025, and known for introducing smart contracts, the Ethereum network has become a crucial hub in the Web3 world. One of the most important moments in Ethereum’s history was the transition from the Proof of Work (PoW) consensus mechanism to the Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism known as The Merge. All these updates have improved Ethereum’s economic model and contributed to its ultra-sound money status due to their deflationary aspects. The network’s feature of burning a portion of transaction fees has reduced the circulating supply of ETH, thus increasing its scarcity and value proposition. 
One of the most significant achievements in Ethereum’s first decade was the approval of spot Ethereum Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) in various jurisdictions, primarily in the United States. This milestone marked a new era of accessibility for investors, further legitimizing Ethereum as a mainstream financial asset.

Over the years, the price of Ethereum’s mainnet asset, Ether (ETH), has shown remarkable growth, soaring from an average price of approximately $0.43 (2016) to around $3,319 (2024). This extraordinary rise of over 770,000% highlights the rapid adoption of the Ethereum network and the growing interest in cryptocurrencies and Web3 <a href="https://newslinker.co/category/technology/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-wpel-link="exclude">technologies</a>.
