The new meme coin NEIRO has caused a huge splash after launching on CEXs with a 300% pump in just 24 hours. On the other hand, investors continue to flock to the viral presale <a href="http://poodlana.com/?utm_id=POODL102&amp;utm_source=thecoinrepublic&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_content=reactive&amp;utm_campaign=en_artc_external_presale&amp;utm_term=n/a" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Poodlana</a> as it passes the $3.5 million mark.
NEIRO began trending on <a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/neiro-eth/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">CoinMarketCap</a> today after listing on the exchange CoinW. However, it has drawn some negative headlines due to the suspicion that it could be a honeypot. That’s a type of project created to generate hype and investment before being drained to enrich developers.
It means Poodlana, a newly <a href="https://x.com/Poodlana/status/1817834848955818368" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">audited</a> presale on the Solana blockchain, could be a safer bet. It is still delivering impressive returns. German auditors Solid Proof have scanned the smart contract and certified that Poodlana is not a honeypot. Having raised $3.5 million in just two weeks, the POODL presale certainly isn’t short of profit potential either.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-neiro-heir-to-doge-s-throne">NEIRO: Heir to DOGE’s throne?</h2>
Neiro, in real life, is the “sister” of Kabosu, the beloved Shiba Inu that inspired Dogecoin. Kabosu’s owner recently shared the news of Neiro’s arrival. That led to a slew of meme tokens inspired by her image, the most notable being NEIRO.
The token is based on Ethereum. It has flown to a market cap of around $50 million in just a few days. It left other Neiro tokens in the dust. One such competitor, with the same name but built on Solana, appears to have been a <a href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/neiro-memecoin-developer-makes-2-85m-profit-after-apparent-rug-pull" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">rug pull</a>. That underscored the inherent risks of investing in early-stage meme coins.
The ERC-20 NEIRO isn’t in the clear yet, either: the pseudonymous independent blockchain sleuth <a href="https://cointelegraph.com/news/31-m-neiro-project-etheruem-honeypot-wazz" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">“Wazz”</a> has indicated he believes the project is a honeypot due to the existence of parameters in the smart contract that could be manipulated to affect the token’s price going forwards.
NEIRO’s huge post-listing pump is undoubtedly attractive for investors looking to make a quick buck. However, this honeypot suspicion and apparent fraudulence surrounding similar tokens could be enough to dissuade more cautious investors.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-perfect-poodlana">Perfect Poodlana?</h2>
Amongst the uncertainty, there is one token that seems a safer choice. It still has the potential to generate massive returns for early investors.

Now, the world is paying attention, and analysts are bracing for a monumental pump. Poodlana is listing on DEXs at 12 PM UTC on 16th August, just one hour after the presale ends. Momentum is still building. When the Solana DEX market decides prices, they can deliver returns to the tune of 100x or even more.

Although NEIRO comes from a royal crypto bloodline, there may be too much FUD surrounding the token for it to truly take the throne. Poodlana, on the other hand, is a young pretender with the fundamentals and public support to claim the new meme coin crown.
