The<a href="https://explorer.sonic.game/."> Sonic SVM</a> on Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) layer 2 has reported a significant achievement, with its testnet surpassing one million monthly active users. This milestone shows the <a href="https://www.crypto-news-flash.com/metaplex-announces-deployment-of-its-product-suite-to-sonic-svm/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">rising popularity of Web3 games </a>on the platform due to high user interaction and trading volume.&nbsp; 
<h3 id="strong-sonic-svm-testnet-processes-massive-transactions-strong">Sonic SVM Testnet Processes Massive Transactions</h3> 
In the testnet stage, Sonic processed more than 600 million transactions from users. This can be attributed to the Odyssey testnet campaign, in which users were given incentives in the form of rewards for using the testnet and performing certain actions within the testnet environment.&nbsp; 
Chris Zhu, CEO of Sonic SVM, explained, “Users are rewarded ‘rings’ for transacting on the testnet and completing certain tasks. These tasks also involve actions within our ecosystem games.” The campaign included eight games, namely Rage Effect, LowLifeForms, and JogoJogo, among others. For instance, the prediction-based game by JogoJogo garnered over 250,000 registrations. 
Sonic’s success highlights the increasing trend of play-to-earn and Web3 gaming concepts that seek to establish player-owned economies with real value. However, Web3 gaming has its share of issues in trying to achieve mass adoption. A major concern is the availability of good games than the conventional gaming platforms that people are used to.&nbsp; 
According to Zhu, the most significant issue that Web3 game developers face is the lack of ‘soft’ infrastructure, which includes services such as market strategy, project funding, and marketing after launch.Zhu emphasized, “What makes a game successful is not only determined by its technical aspects — the ‘soft’ infrastructure we provide is designed to enhance and raise awareness for not just our individual games, but Web3 gaming on Solana as a whole.” 
<h3 id="strong-sonic-secures-12-million-series-a-funding-to-drive-platform-development-strong">Sonic Secures $12 Million Series A Funding to Drive Platform Development&nbsp;</h3> 
Sonic SVM recently closed a $12 million Series A funding round led by Bitkraft Ventures, raising its total capital to $16 million. <a href="https://www.crypto-news-flash.com/sonic-wif-hat-sonicwif-is-now-available-for-trading-on-lbank-exchange/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">This financial boost </a>will support further development and expansion of the platform, contributing to its mission of enhancing the Web3 gaming landscape.

The testnet is moving to the next phase, Sonic Frontier. This stage will bring on more ecosystem partners and incorporate more than 10 new games. The expansion is designed to encourage users to engage more with Sonic SVM and improve their gaming experience.&nbsp; 
Sonic Frontier will incorporate a new version of the HyperGrid framework for horizontal scaling that handles millions of requests per second on the Solana L1. The HyperGrid Shared State Network (HSSN), which orders and commits transactions, will also expand the number of validators in this phase.&nbsp; 
Additionally, Sonic Frontier will enforce new project, developer, and user approval for entry into the system to help manage the testnet and its ecosystem.&nbsp; 
While Sonic aims to become a significant force in the Web3 gaming ecosystem, other blockchains also compete for supremacy. Some of the most widely used networks are Ronin Network, the blockchain behind Axie Infinity, Immutable X, MultiverX, Oasys, and Polygon.&nbsp;
