The crypto community should brace itself for a hectic week as several tokens, including Aptos, The Sandbox, and Arbitrum, undergo&nbsp;<a href="https://token.unlocks.app/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">scheduled unlocks</a> with total value exceeding $230 million. Investors are always on high alert in this planned event, as such events trigger price fluctuations.&nbsp; 
By definition, token unlocks involve the release of tokens previously restricted under fundraising and other various agreements. Projects thoroughly plan these events to mitigate market pressure while preventing sharp price declines. However, there are drawbacks to this approach. Factors such as insufficient liquidity or early investor profit-taking can significantly influence a token’s value. Here is a list of tokens scheduled for unlocking: 
<h3 id="b-aptos-apt-b">Aptos (APT)</h3> 
First on the list is Aptos. This&nbsp;<a href="https://www.crypto-news-flash.com/aptos-labs-launches-coin-to-asset-migration-on-mainnet/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">layer-1 blockchain</a>, broadly known for its security and scalability, is embarking on an 11.31 million APT unlock on August 12. While the project has garnered significant attention, Aptos has always faced criticism from the crypto community due to its tokenomics,&nbsp;which is largely shaped by venture capital involvement. Additionally, this release will distribute tokens among community members, core contributors, and investors.&nbsp; 
At the time of writing, Aptos is swapping hands with $6.02, marking a 2.86% decline in the last 24 hours.&nbsp; 
<h3 id="b-sandbox-sand-b">Sandbox (SAND)</h3> 
It is worth noting that Sandbox, a virtual world where users can build, own, and monetize gaming experiences, conducts biannual token unlocks. The next unlock, which is scheduled for one day and 22 hours, will unlock 205.59 million SAND, which will account for 9% of the circulating supply. Notably, this unlock is the last release for private investors.&nbsp; 
SAND is&nbsp;<a href="https://www.crypto-news-flash.com/marketcap/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">exchanging hands</a> for $0.2567 at the time of writing,&nbsp;marking a 14.81% decline in the past month. Despite a 95% drop in value since it recorded an all-time high in November 2021, private investors have still seen significant gains 
Analysts have suggested that the token is poised for a bullish future outlook as this is its final token unlock. The potential reduced selling pressure will bring this about. 
<h3 id="strong-arbitrum-arb-strong">Arbitrum (ARB)</h3> 
Third on the list is&nbsp;Arbitrum, a leading layer-2 solution for Ethereum. This layer-2 titan will unlock 92.6 million ARB, valued at approximately $53.5 million, on August 16. These tokens will be distributed among the team, advisors, and investors. Arbitrum is a crypto giant that has seen backing from crypto heavy hitters, including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Polychain Capital, and Coinbase. Given the project’s reputation and market impact, this unlock is expected to attract attention. 
ARB is swapping hands at the time of writing with $0.5649, marking a 5.18% decline in the last 24 hours.&nbsp; 
<h3 id="strong-starknet-strk-strong">Starknet (STRK)</h3> 
Starknet,&nbsp; a layer-2 solution that operates on the Ethereum blockchain, is set to unlock 64 million STRK on August 15. Similar to Aptos, these tokens will be distributed to investors and early contributors. Playing a significant role, this unlock is part of Starknet’s roadmap to decentralize the network. 
Other projects on the same road path include Cyber (CYBER), Render (RNDR), ApeCoin (APE), Ethena (ENA), and Oasis Network (ROSE).
