As BNB Chain approaches its 4th anniversary, the community-driven blockchain ecosystem that includes the <a href="https://twitter.com/nansen_ai/status/1667129159435337728" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">world’s largest smart contract blockchain</a>, has announced the launch of the the <a href="https://www.bnbchain.org/en/blog/the-bnb-chain-ecosystem-catalyst-awards" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">4th Anniversary Ecosystem Catalyst Awards Selection.</a> This initiative is set to celebrate the projects that have significantly contributed to the BNB Chain ecosystem through a transparent and democratic online voting process. The community, which has played a vital role in nurturing the BNB Chain’s growth, will have the opportunity to select the most deserving projects, making this a true celebration of impact and innovation. 
Aligned with BNB Chain’s vision to help startups and developers achieve real business success and cross the chasm, and its mission to onboard the next billion Web3 users, the BNB Chain Ecosystem Catalyst Awards aim to recognize and honor projects that have significantly contributed to the BNB Chain ecosystem. The awards are categorized into five distinct segments, each celebrating excellence in different areas:

 <li>Innovation Excellence: Celebrates pioneers venturing into uncharted territories with cutting-edge applications of AI, opBNB, and Greenfield technologies, reshaping the technological landscape.</li> 
 <li>Decentralized Finance: Recognizes projects at the forefront of decentralized finance, creating novel financial solutions.</li> 
 <li>Gaming, NFT &amp; the Metaverse: Highlights projects shaping the future of interactive entertainment and digital ownership within gaming, NFTs, and the metaverse.</li> 
 <li>Infrastructure: Acknowledges contributions to the foundation and infrastructure of the BNB Chain ecosystem.</li> 
 <li>Rising Star: Recognizes innovative newcomers making a significant impact on the BNB Chain ecosystem, spotlighting promising projects deployed in 2024.</li> 
</ul> 
The campaign unfolds in six steps, ensuring transparency, engagement, and a fair selection process: 
<ol> 
 <li>Nomination (Aug 12 – 25): Projects sign up with required material through a form to enter the competition. Each project can only sign up for one award.</li> 
 <li>Shortlisting (Aug 26 – 29): A panel reviews the nominations and shortlists the top six candidates for each award.</li> 
 <li>Candidate Announcement (Aug 30): The shortlisted projects are announced.</li> 
 <li>Voting Session (Sep 2 – Sep 9): Community members (BAB holders) cast their votes through an on-chain voting process.</li> 
 <li>Winner Announcement (Sep 10): The top two winners in each category are announced.</li> 
 <li>Winner AMA Sessions (Sep 17 &amp; 19): Winners participate in AMA sessions to share their journey and insights.</li> 
</ol> 
To participate in the voting process, users need to hold BAB tokens and link their wallet address to the platform. Voting entails selecting projects for recognition, with each user having the opportunity to vote for up to two projects out of six candidates daily. Users can also redeem extra votes by fulfilling specific conditions, such as holding certain NFTs or engaging with candidate projects.
