The European Union (EU) Commission has sent a warning to Elon Musk about his social media platform, X, just ahead of the 8:00 PM ET interview with former U.S. President Donald Trump today. 
In a letter, Thierry Breton, a member of the EU Commission, highlighted some concerns about the possibility of harmful content spreading on the platform during the interview and reminded Musk of the platform’s obligations under the Digital Services Act (DSA).

The EU’s main concern is that the interview could lead to the sharing of content that might cause public unrest. With around 300 million users on X, many of whom are in the EU, the Commission is urging Musk to take necessary precautions to prevent such outcomes.&nbsp; 
Breton emphasized that the platform must strike a balance between allowing freedom of expression and ensuring public safety, especially during high-profile events. 
The letter referenced previous instances where content on X has been linked to public disturbances, stressing the importance of proper content moderation. Breton made it clear that the platform must follow EU laws to avoid potential penalties. 
In response to the warning, Musk replied with a brief and possibly sarcastic “Bonjour!” on X, drawing more attention to the ongoing tension between him and European regulators.&nbsp;

This warning is just one of several regulatory challenges Musk has faced in Europe, including a recent investigation in Austria over alleged privacy violations.
