Former US President and Republican nominee Donald Trump did not mention Bitcoin and crypto once during a recent interview on X with Elon Musk.
The 2-hour interview on Monday evening covered a broad range of topics, including the economy, illegal immigration, AI and global warming. More than 1 million people listened in on the <a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1823218454369124491" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">interview</a>.

The interview was delayed for more than 45 minutes. Musk said this was due to a “massive DDOS attack on X.” At the beginning of the X Space once it finally went live, Musk added that the attack illustrates “there’s a lot of opposition to people just hearing what President Trump has to say.”&nbsp;

Cybersecurity watchdog organization Netblocks confirmed in an Aug. 13 <a href="https://x.com/netblocks/status/1823150683400318988" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">post</a> that X Spaces experienced an international outage. However, it did not confirm whether the technical difficulties were the result of a DDoS attack.
Throughout the interview, both <a href="https://insidebitcoins.com/news/strump-surges-15-as-donald-trump-jr-announces-new-crypto-platform-to-take-on-banks" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Trump</a> and Musk decided not to mention Bitcoin and crypto in the discussion. This was the opposite of what Polymarket bettors thought would happen, with users of the platform <a href="https://polymarket.com/event/what-will-trump-say-during-elon-interview?tid=1723514103927" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">predicting</a> a 65% chance that digital assets would be talked about during the session. Odds of a “Bitcoin” mention peaked at 69% prior to the interview.
After the interview with Trump, Musk <a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1823217769229566251" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">posted</a> that he would be happy to host Harris on X Spaces as well.&nbsp;
