<h2 id="the-liquidity-fragmentation-issue">The Liquidity Fragmentation Issue</h2> 
<p>The team <a href="https://x.com/Sagaxyz__/status/1823072227119825377" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">noted</a> that the rise of chains, L2s, and rollups has created a major issue which is liquidity fragmentation. The current solutions are complex and they lead to a poor user experience. This is what Saga aims to change.</p> 
<p>Saga’s L1 protocol offers infinite horizontal scalability via chainlets. However, they noted that this scalability means does not mean liquidity fragmentation anymore. Here comes LIL in the picture, according to the team at Saga.</p> 
<p>They explained that liquidity fragments because there is no natural composability between chains. Also, in a multi-chain world, devs must manually set up bridges and this complicates cross-chain interactions. LIL is able to solve this issue.</p> 
<p>Using Saga, devs can request chainlets easily, but the decentralized nature of the chainlets can lead to liquidity fragmentation.</p> 
<p>LIL offers a unique integrated architecture, introducing automatic composability to Saga’s ecosystem. Chainlets connect seamlessly, offering immediate access to tokens, services, and applications across the ecosystem and beyond.</p>
