Unioverse, the pioneering sci-fi franchise&nbsp;and game creation&nbsp;platform, has announced a number of significant advances, including the pre-alpha release of its second game, Hoverdrome.
In addition, Unioverse has&nbsp;organized&nbsp;a tournament with a prize pool of $300,000 $UNIO, $15,000 USDC, and other prizes to coincide with the release. Additionally scheduled for release is the most sought-after NFT on the platform to date.
Pre-alpha for Windows PCs is now available for Hoverdrome, an action-packed AAA game that combines aspects of Rocket League and Mario Kart. The game is notable for using interoperable game NFTs, which let users spend their resources in other Unioverse games.
Tony Harman, Founder and CEO of Random Games, the company behind the Unioverse stated:

Polygon is sponsoring a special competition to celebrate the debut of the game. Entry is free, but players must make sure their Windows PC satisfies the <a href="https://www.unioverse.com/proving-grounds/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">minimum criteria</a>. Open Qualifiers will take place from August 26 to August 31 in this user-friendly tournament; the live finals are scheduled on August 31. Two very skilled casters working with <a href="https://www.communitygaming.io/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Community Gaming</a>, <a href="https://twitter.com/Tanner_Metro" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Tanner_Metro</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/Orbital_Casting" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Orbital_Casting</a>, will give live commentary throughout the finals.
The third hero of Unioverse is revealed, following in the footsteps of its predecessors&nbsp;Krishah and Reyu. Tor Gret is a strong space sheriff who stands in for the most valuable NFT in the Unioverse at this time. On August 6, Tor Gret, in collaboration with partner Magic Eden, minted 5,000 units. In addition, owners of “Epic” or “Legendary” Heroes were provided early access to important events, exclusive ecosystem advantages, and instant game access.

Hoverdrome, the first of many multiplayer games in the Unioverse franchise, allows players to create their own levels and hoverbikes, earn rare achievements for their heroes, and enjoy the freedom to explore and interact with the community in the rapidly expanding web3 gaming space. The Unioverse website offers players the opportunity to download the game’s pre-alpha version.
Harman added:
