<p>The original BitVM, introduced in October last year, was designed to bring off-chain smart contracts to Bitcoin without requiring a network upgrade. <p><strong>Faster Transactions:</strong> BitVM2 includes a rollup sidechain that operates on Bitcoin, which processes transactions more quickly while keeping Bitcoin’s strong security. This update aims to improve transaction speeds and overall scalability.</p> 
<p><strong>Easier Transfers:</strong> The new BitVM Bridge makes it simpler to move Bitcoin to and from the roll-up network. It features shorter lock-up times and lower capital requirements, which increases flexibility and makes it easier for users to interact with the roll-up network.</p>
