Microsoft is gearing up to launch its new Recall feature for Copilot+ PCs, but first, it will be available to Windows Insiders starting in October. Recall was announced as part of the Copilot+ PCs unveiled on May 20, which aims to enhance user productivity by providing a visual timeline of recently seen content on your PC. 
Recall, introduced on <a href="https://www.cryptotimes.io/2024/05/21/microsoft-unveils-ai-copilot-pcs-with-advanced-features/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">May 20 with Copilot+ PCs</a>, offers a new way to retrace your digital steps. By periodically capturing snapshots of your screen, Recall creates a visual timeline of what you’ve seen on your PC.&nbsp; 
These images, stored and analyzed locally, help you quickly find documents, apps, and websites you’ve visited. With a focus on privacy, Recall snapshots are encrypted and decrypted only when you log in using Windows Hello Enhanced Sign-in Security (ESS). 
This <a href="https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2024/06/07/update-on-the-recall-preview-feature-for-copilot-pcs/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">new feature</a> was initially scheduled to roll out broadly on June 18, 2024, but Microsoft has decided to refine the experience further with input from Windows Insiders first.&nbsp; 
This approach reflects Microsoft’s commitment to high standards of quality and security under its Secure Future Initiative (SFI). Feedback from the Windows Insider Program will be crucial in ensuring that Recall meets these standards before a full release. 
Copilot+ PCs are designed to deliver enhanced performance and new AI-driven experiences. Recall aims to function as a private, virtual memory bank, giving users control over what gets saved, with options to pause or delete snapshots at any time. 
As AI continues to evolve, Microsoft is focusing on balancing cloud capabilities with local processing power, ensuring both privacy and security. Recall’s preview release is a step toward making advanced AI features more reliable and user-friendly.
