The partnership, which Aptos describes as a potential “game-changer” for both platforms, aims to introduce new possibilities for NFT applications.
<a href="https://forum.aptosfoundation.org/t/aptos-rarible/11902" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">In a forum post on August 22</a>, a global community manager for the Aptos Foundation, known as “Angel,” hinted at Rarible’s potential integration with the Aptos network.&nbsp;

 “Whether it’s a full marketplace launch or another form of collaboration, this teased alliance between Rarible and Aptos is one to watch!” 
</blockquote>
Angel noted.&nbsp;
Rarible has also<a href="https://twitter.com/rarible/status/1826296516832612760?t=9MU_NEFQbO9q7eSije1csQ&amp;s=19" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> teased</a> this potential collaboration with Aptos on its social media channels, though specific details have yet to be revealed.&nbsp;
The news comes as the Aptos network experiences a remarkable surge in activity. On August 14, the blockchain<a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://aptoscan.com/analytics" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> recorded</a> nearly 144 million daily transactions, according to data from Aptoscan. While the cause of this spike remains uncertain, it highlights a notable increase in network on-chain activity.
The spike in activity on the Aptos network came just days before Tether<a href="https://defi-planet.com/2024/08/tether-to-launch-usdt-on-aptos-blockchain-amid-networks-rapid-growth/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> revealed</a> plans to bring its U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin (USDT) to the blockchain. Although the official launch date has not yet been announced, Tether emphasised Aptos’ “robust developer community” and “extremely low gas fees” as key factors behind the decision to expand onto the platform.
Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating,

Aptos’ innovative technology provides a solid platform for facilitating faster and more cost-effective transactions with USDT.”

The integration marks a significant milestone for Aptos. Mo Shaikh, CEO of Aptos Labs, emphasised the collaboration’s potential, stating it would help scale the network’s capacity and user base and push the limits of blockchain innovation with Tether’s support.
