<p>The Tron Network has been causing a stir in the cryptocurrency world, with its token (TRX) seeing significant increases in trading volume and revenue. Recent data shows Tron's 24-hour trading volume surpassing $1.7 billion, even overtaking Solana. This surge in activity has placed Tron second only to Ethereum in terms of total revenue, with Tron generating nearly $856 million in fees compared to Ethereum's $1.36 billion.</p>
<p>The network's sudden popularity appears to be driven by a new wave of meme tokens, reminiscent of the "pump and dump" phenomena seen on other blockchains. Leading this trend is "SunPump," Tron's answer to tokens like "Pump.Fun," though it's still in its early stages with only 22,000 tokens created compared to Pump.Fun's 1.8 million. Other tokens like "Sun Dog" and "Sun Wukong" are also gaining traction, with market caps of $224 million and $10 million respectively.</p>
<p>Tron's founder, Justin Sun, seems to be actively promoting this activity through strategic marketing moves. He recently changed his avatar and promoted a game called "Game Con," even airdropping Steam codes to generate buzz. Additionally, Sun announced plans to address the network's energy shortage due to increased activity, proposing to raise the energy limit to potentially lower transaction costs.</p>
