<p>She later became the executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) before joining politics like her sister. In her career, she majorly worked with policy and civil rights other than working on racial and gender justice.</p> 
<p>More importantly, Maya served as a senior policy advisor to Hilary Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign. She was also the campaign chairman of Kamala Harris’s&nbsp;2020 unsuccessful bid for the Democratic nominee.</p> 
<p>Maya came into the spotlight when she made an appearance on the 4th day of the Democratic National Convention. She confidently supported her sister and talked of the great values their Indian-origin mother had taught them. Meena is married to Nikolas Ajagu and was a matchmaker for her mother when she was just four.</p> 
<p>Maya was a teen mom and later met her husband, Tony West. In an interview, Maya revealed that her daughter was playing at her college, which resulted in a meeting with Tony.</p>
