As blockchain technology continues to grow, the demand for seamless interaction between different chains has become increasingly urgent. Orbiter Finance is emerging as a key player in this space, moving beyond its origins as a basic cross-chain protocol to develop a more comprehensive omnichain infrastructure.
In this week’s episode of the Hashing It Out podcast, host Elisha Owusu Akyaw spoke with Orbiter Finance’s&nbsp;ecosystem growth lead, Keer Lau, to learn more about&nbsp;cross-chain protocols and multichain ecosystems.
Security remains a significant concern within the Web3 ecosystem, particularly for cross-chain platforms that have historically been prone to vulnerabilities due to human error and dependence on multisignature wallets.
Lau highlighted Orbiter Finance’s innovative approach to this issue, which relies on zk-SPV (Zero-Knowledge Simplified Payment Verification) technology. This solution eliminates the need for multisignature wallets, aiming to reduce the risk of security breaches.
Another critical challenge for cross-chain bridges is liquidity fragmentation. By aggregating liquidity across various layer-2 solutions and rollups, Orbiter aims to provide a smoother, more efficient user experience.
According to Lau, this strategy enhances the platform’s functionality and lays the groundwork for better coordination among rollups, which is expected to improve scalability while maintaining decentralization.

Lau argued that developers must be committed to building both the necessary infrastructure for seamless cross-chain interactions and ensuring that these interactions are intuitive and accessible.
