<p>The Bitcoin price faced some volatility dropping to $52,000 levels last week following the release of the US jobs data. This week is going to be interesting as well with investors closely watching for the US CPI data and the Trump vs Harris debate on Wednesday. Thus, investors are preparing for volatility going ahead this week as we keep a watch on top crypto events. </p>

<p>The global macro events have been influencing he crypto market movement in the past few weeks. This week, the US CPI numbers for the month of August would be out which would set up the basis for the Fed rate cuts scheduled around September 18.</p> 
<p>On the other hand, another major development would be the first debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. With digital assets taking the center-stage in the upcoming US Presidential elections this event would be key for the crypto market.</p> 
<p>On one hand,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2024/09/04/donald-trump-promotes-crypto-project-ahead-of-us-presidential-elections/">Donald Trump</a>&nbsp;has been openly vocal about his support of the crypto industry throughout his presidential campaign. On the other hand, Kamla Harris continues to ignore crypto with digital assets seeing no mention in her recent policy decisions. </p> 
<p>Ignoring the crypto industry might cost Harris the elections as Donald Trump has extended the lead as per the latest survey from&nbsp;the New York Times.</p>

<p>Following these two major events on Wednesday, there would be US initial jobless claims for the week. During the last week, the jobs data turned out to be disappointing and much lower than expected.</p> 
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-btc-bears-in-control-amid-rising-volatility"><strong>BTC Bears In Control Amid Rising Volatility</strong></h2> 
<p>Amid the current developments, investor sentiment in crypto has been really low with major term implied volatilities (IVs) rising in the derivatives market. Currently, Bitcoin and the broader crypto market are seeing some mild bounce-backs following a sharp correction over the past weekend. With key events on the horizon, market analysts are also bracing for potential volatility ahead.</p> 
<p>Despite the recent dip, the market remains cautious about potential downside risks. Risk reversals for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) through October continue to favor put options, reflecting ongoing investor apprehension, reported QCP Capital.</p> 
<p>On the other hand, brokerage firm Bernstein stated that if Donald Trump comes to power again, it would be extremely bullish for Bitcoin and crypto. By the fourth quarter of this year, Berstein expects the Bitcoin price to hit $90,000 upon Trump’s win. </p> 
<p>On the other hand, it takes a bearish call if Kamala Harris wins the elections. In such a case, Berstein expects the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.thecoinrepublic.com/2024/09/06/bitcoin-options-traders-cautious-sub-50000-bitcoin-price-crash-calls/">BTC price</a>&nbsp;to break through the current support of $50,000, moving all the way further down to $30,000 levels.</p>
