Circle, a global financial technology leader, has <a href="https://www.circle.com/en/pressroom/circle-and-sony-block-solutions-labs-to-enable-usdc-on-soneium#:~:text=Through%20this%20initiative%2C%20Soneium%20will,verticals%20and%20support%20users%20globally." target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">partnered with Sony</a> Block Solutions Labs. This partnership aims to enhance innovation and creativity through decentralized technologies by utilizing Soneium, a public Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain ecosystem.&nbsp;
The collaboration will integrate the <a href="https://www.binance.com/en-IN/square/post/2024-09-16-circle-and-sony-block-solutions-labs-form-strategic-partnership-13599853761321" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Bridged USDC Standard</a>, positioning bridged USDC as one of the primary tokens for value exchange within Soneium’s ecosystem.
<a href="https://thenewscrypto.com/sony-launches-soneium-minato-testnet-pioneering-decentralized-future/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">On August 23rd</a>, Sony launched the public test net for Soneium, its Ethereum Layer-2 blockchain developed with Startable Labs. Built using Optimism’s OP Stack, Soneium Minato offers developers seamless Ethereum compatibility, reduced transaction fees, and enhanced security.
It also aims to bridge <a href="https://thenewscrypto.com/web3-innovation-and-transformation-innoblock-2024-held-by-abga-and-bbs/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Web3</a> and Web2, fostering innovation in decentralized applications. By integrating bridged USDC, Soneium is set to unlock new opportunities for developers and users.&nbsp;
Moreover, Bridged USDC is a specification for deploying <a href="https://thenewscrypto.com/oasys-and-celer-partner-to-introduce-bridged-usdc-standard-support/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">USDC</a> in a bridged form on <a href="https://thenewscrypto.com/creditcoin-launches-evm-compatible-mainnet-and-creditwallet-app/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Ethereum Virtual Machine</a> (EVM)-compatible blockchains like Soneium. This bridged USDC also acts as a proxy for native USDC held on Ethereum, allowing developers to easily integrate digital dollar payments into their applications.&nbsp;

Recently, Chainlink announced that Soneium, Sony Block Solutions Labs’ Ethereum layer 2 blockchain, has joined the <a href="https://x.com/Echoeweb/status/1835162128946204883" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Chainlink Scale program</a>. Further, it grants access to Chainlink Data Feeds and integrates Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). This step reflects its expanded vision in blockchain development enhancing the sector to further highs.
