 Solana-based decentralised exchange aggregator Jupiter has acquired SolanaFM, a blockchain explorer backed by Etherscan. In a September 20 <a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://twitter.com/solanafm/status/1836990213425615205?t=fkWDktST43p5L1gE66qpSQ&amp;s=19">announcement</a> on X, SolanaFM stated it will prioritise significantly enhancing Jupiter’s data and infrastructure capabilities while reassuring users that the platform will continue its normal operations.

<a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://pitchbook.com/profiles/company/489475-72">Founded in 2021,</a> SolanaFM offers users comprehensive insights into Solana’s network data, including transaction histories, smart contracts, and token details. In 2022, the platform <a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://www.sbivencapital.com.sg/news/solanafm-completes-strategic-seed-funding-round-raising-4-5-million/">raised</a> $4.5 million in a seed funding round led by SBI Group’s Digital Asset Opportunity Fund. Additionally, SolanaFM <a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/smu-undergrads-raised-63-million-crypto-startup-024654722.html">attracted</a> investments from a funding round led by Etherscan and Coinhako. 
As part of the acquisition, Jupiter also <a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://x.com/JupiterExchange/status/1836993419958440228">introduced</a> Jupiter Mobile, a fee-free app developed in collaboration with MoonPay. Though the launch date is yet to be announced, the app will support popular payment methods such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit cards, enhancing accessibility for users.&nbsp; 
The acquisition and product launch comes at a time when Jupiter is <a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://x.com/JupiterExchange/status/1825600323320434830?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1825600323320434830%7Ctwgr%5E122cab45b8bcdb8d3bc97c25982f813f786df8f4%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcrypto.news%2Fsolana-based-jupiter-alerts-of-malicious-chrome-extension-draining-wallets%2F">addressing</a> security concerns. In August, the exchange alerted users to a malicious Chrome extension called “Bull Checker,” which was targeting Solana users. After investigating user complaints, Jupiter uncovered the threat, emphasising the persistent risks within the ecosystem as the platform continues to grow and expand its services. 
Meanwhile, blockchain firms have been actively pursuing acquisitions to broaden their services, with Nansen being the latest to join the trend. Nansen has <a style="color: #0000ff;" href="https://defi-planet.com/2024/09/blockchain-analytics-firm-nansen-expands-into-staking-services-with-stakewithus-acquisition/">acquired</a> popular non-custodial staking service Stakewithus, aiming to diversify its product offering.&nbsp; 
Nansen highlighted that the acquisition allows users to not only analyse blockchain data and monitor portfolios but also stake assets directly on the platform. Founded in 2020, Nansen is a leading provider of on-chain analytics for both EVM and non-EVM chains. CEO Alex Svanevik noted that the deal will help create a seamless user experience, enabling users to act on insights without leaving the platform.
