<a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitfarms-set-to-boost-mining-capacity-with-quebec-expansion/">Bitfarms</a>, a leading Bitcoin mining company, announced the settlement of a legal dispute with former CEO Geoffrey Morphy. Morphy had sought $27 million for breach of contract and wrongful dismissal. 
In its September <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/bitcoin-miners-set-for-a-tough-ride-as-2024-halving-nears-jp-morgan/">production</a> update, Bitfarms noted that "the employment dispute with the former CEO has been settled," but details of the agreement were not disclosed. Morphy joined the company in 2020 and was appointed CEO in 2022. 
The settlement allows Bitfarms to focus on executing its strategic objectives, including plans to double operational capacity to 21 EH/s in the coming months.
