Thanks to his political insight and former SEC commissioner experience, Gallagher is quickly being seen as a dangerous opponent. Meanwhile, the SEC, under current Chair Gary Gensler, is <a href="https://www.politico.com/newsletters/morning-money/2024/10/07/the-crypto-executive-who-could-soon-be-running-the-sec-00182663" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">considering</a> a lawsuit against Robinhood, signaling potential conflict if Gallagher is chosen for the role.</p>
