Reports coming in have affirmed that&nbsp; The Open Network (TON) blockchain has just received a large $10 million investment commitment from Gate.io, an apparent bullish bet on spurring Telegram ecosystem growth. This is in line with the strategic positioning of Gate.io’s plans to evolve into developing governance and a product that increases the synergy between TON Blockchain and the messaging platform.

Gate.io’s&nbsp; $10M donation has amped up its commitment to the TON Foundation in order to help drive the blockchain forward. Gate.io would be officially signed up to help govern TON. However, one of the most awaited products is a CeFi-triggered Telegram mini-app, and a Gate Wallet was introduced into Telegram as well. All these are designed to make using blockchain in messaging apps as easy as possible for the user by opening access to TON’s ecosystem directly at the level of Telegram.

A core part of Gate.io&nbsp; strategy is dedicated to the 100K + TON developers community. The exchange is a key member of the TON Society’s Hackers League and one of the most active attendees at that global hackathon platform aimed at software development for TON blockchain. The event this season has a prize pool of $2 million and is expected to have the best players in the world. Hackers League will have a number of bounty tracks from the most important TON projects to give developers an opportunity to realize their ideas. 
The hackathon will be conducted across 19 cities globally including both, in-person and virtual gatherings to promote collaboration at an international level. The move underscores TON’s ambition to expand its developer community and encourage further innovation on the platform.

The partnership between Gate.io &amp; TON harnesses the benefits of the blockchain and Telegram’s existing 200M audience. Dr. Lin Han, CEO of Gate.io, reiterated the partnership’s capabilities: “The TON ecosystem holds immense promise due to its integration with Telegram, offering a fast, low-cost blockchain solution that is well-positioned for mass adoption. We’re excited to see how this collaboration can drive Web3 growth and create a network effect that brings new users into the space.”
