The sudden increase in capital was mainly due to a change in the United States political landscape.&nbsp;

According to James Butterfill, Head of Research at Coinshares, the Republicans have gained momentum ahead of the upcoming US presidential election. Most of the inflows came from investment funds based in the US, reflecting increasing optimism that a Republican-led government could favor cryptocurrency regulatory conditions.&nbsp;
Canadian crypto investment products also performed well, recording approximately $4.8 million in inflows. However, investment products outside North America experienced net outflows, indicating that not all regions are equally excited about digital assets. With the 2024 US presidential election on the horizon, market participants will closely watch the political landscape, as its outcome may significantly impact the future of digital asset investment.
Meanwhile, Blockchain equity ETFs saw one of the largest weekly inflows, totaling $34 million due to a rise in Bitcoin prices.

Invesco Galaxy and VanEck Bitcoin ETFs also registered positive inflows during the same period. Despite this surge, BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) saw no new inflows.
